On Thursday 6 August our parish received its new commemoration table, ordered in 2014 to mark the ten-year anniversary of services in West Gosford.  This table, purchased by the Ladies’ Auxiliary with assistance from the Russian Welfare Association and a number of private donors, is the work of renowned woodcarver Protodeacon Basil Hadarin.  The parish rector read the prayers of blessing over the commemoration table immediately prior to the commencement of the All-night Vigil on Saturday 8 August, the eve of our patronal feast.  The new table is a beautiful addition to our small church and a visible manifestation of our prayers for those who have departed this life.  Give rest, O Lord, to the souls of Thy servants who have fallen asleep!
