On 11 December 2013 Metropolitan Hilarion appealed to the faithful of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York to assist in the case of Deacon Dionysius Lvov.  The infant son of Father Dionysius and his matushka Nadiya, Maxim, became seriously ill when Father Dionysius was undertaking his duties in Toronto, Canada, and as they did not have health insurance in Canada, medical expenses of US$134,023.89 were incurred.  On 16 January 2014 Metropolitan Hilarion also appealed to the faithful of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese to assist.  Detailed information about the case is provided in the Metropolitan's December appeal.  Our parish collection will be taken up on Sunday 2 February 2014.  Please give generously!
