Our parish school is named in honour of the Holy Hierarch Innocent, Apostle to Alaska and Eastern Siberia, and Metropolitan of Moscow . Classes for parish children are held between 9.00am and 12.30pm on Saturday mornings in the church hall. The subjects taught are the basics of the Russian language (listening and speaking, speech development, writing and reading) and culture (art and craft, drama, and history) and the Orthodox Christian faith (catechism, lives of saints, feast-days, Orthodox Christian life). The curriculum and resources are contemporary and developed especially to meet the needs of the community. The teachers are Irina Alekseyevna Kouznetsova and Priest James Carles. School age children are welcome to enroll. Fees are $10.00 per child per week, with a maximum family contribution of $20.00 per week. There is also a $10.00 annual stationery levy. Classes are also held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons for any adults wishing to learn basic conversational Russian. Please contact us for further information.

 
 
 
   
 
 

If you are interested in your preschool age child developing Russian language skills then give her(him) a chance to explore the language through play, song, doing craft, listening to music and stories and more. And this is all in Russian!
