Dear Parents,

St Seraphim Russian School will open its doors in Hornsby on 13 November 2011. The school's main goal is to help children to maintain and develop their Russian language skills, learn about Russian history, culture, and the Russian Orthodox faith. Our school will help you and your children to make new friends and extend your social circle. 

What? 
initially we're planning to have 3-4 classes for children from 5 years of age to 12 years of age, pre-school (detskij sad), and 1-2 classes for kids for whom Russian is a second language
the following subjects will be taught at our school - Russian language, Russian literature (reading), language development, music, natural sciences, and Scripture (Zakon Bozij); other subjects might be added in the future
the teaching staff will include a Russian speech pathologist

Where?
classes will be held at Mt Colah Public School (walking distance from the train station, plenty of parking)

When?
classes will be held on Sundays from 2pm to 6pm (classes for pre-school children will be somewhat shorter)
for those wishing to attend there will be Scripture classes (Zakon Bozij) from 1:30pm to 2pm
additional week-day activities may be organised at a later stage

If you are interested in our Russian school please come along to our Opening Day on Sunday, 13th of November 2011 (2:00pm start) at Mt Colah Public School. On the day we will start with a opening ceremony (linejka), then children will be assigned to their classrooms where they will have 2-3 open classes. Those who are interested will be able to enrol on the day.
