The Parish Council met on Tuesday 17 March 2015.  The usual administrative, financial and pastoral reports were heard.  The rector reported that iconographer Dmitri Lihachov had commenced work on a large icon of the Holy Trinity to be ready by Pentecost 2015, the cost of which will be met by donations made in memory of Sophia Kfoury and Tatiana Elgin-Borodin.  A decision was made to continue sponsorship of Haiti Orthodox Family Relief, and a number of applications for the renewal of parish membership were considered and accepted.  Arrangements were made for the cleaning and decoration of the church in preparation for Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Pascha.  It was agreed that teleconferencing facilities would be installed to allow for flexibility in Parish Council meetings – a number of the members of the Parish Council live more than 50 kilometres from the parish centre – and that steps would be taken to fully provide for card-based payments at the candle-desk.  Arrangements to publish the property purchase appeal approved at the 2014 parish Annual General Meeting were discussed.  The Parish Council will next meet on Bright Tuesday, 14 April 2015.
